I guess that kinda makes sense, but I can’t imagine doing that before marriage just based on attraction alone.

I respect those that choose no sex before marriage, I think that is quite admirable of you, but personally i would not opt for no sex before marriage because I do have needs. Buuut!!! If of course I am so in love with this woman then that’s where the sacrifice comes into play, I will be willing to sacrifice the sex for a lifetime with her. But best believe if I am sure of you then that proposal will come sooner than you think haha.

Sex should definitely be between a husband and wife. Historically there wasn’t always contraception so if two people weren’t committed to each other and have a child it only makes the child suffer because the child doesn’t get the understanding of inner strength that a fatherly figure provides.

Nowadays people can have sex without the worry of producing a child and it has bastardized the connection that we were designed to have when we share in the sacred act. Sex can be one of the greatest experiences when two people fully love, trust, and are committed to one another but somewhere along the line many forgot (or never learned) this truth.

The result is many people recreationally having sex while thinking it’s “no big deal”, eroding their ability to bond with the person that is actually right for them! This is why I think the divorce rate is so high in the U.S.

I didn’t date or have sex for about 2 years after my divorce. I was content being single and not even looking for a relationship. A close friend of mine really wanted me to get back on the dating scene and she purposely introduced me to one of her close friends. Her friend was Chinese. It was my first time ever dating an Asian girl. I felt comfortable with going out with her because in mind my at the time, Asian girls were much more conservative than American girls. And since she was the first date I had in 2 years after a divorce, I was in no rush to do anything including holding hands. Fast forward 3 weeks after our first date, and she initiated our first of many sexual encounters. Somewhere in the middle of our conversations, she would tell me she shouldn’t being having sex until she is married. She is a buddhist. Her parents would never approve. Then she would follow up with, her parents are in china and they would never find out she is sexually active. She was more concerned about mom & dad knowing than marriage & God. Keep in mind our first time having sex, she initiated. Actually, the first several times. I never thought less of her. Always respected her and if her visa didn’t expire, I have a feeling we would still be together this day. She was one very cool person that I totally fell for. 2 years later I received a call from a friend telling me to grab my tux and meet him in DC for a Black Tie event. It was Saturday and my regular barber was mad busy. I instead went to a Vietnamese barbershop down the street and met the prettiest barber I had ever seen. Fast forward to our 3rd or 4th date and she makes it very clear that we will never have sex unless we marry. I had no problem with that. I consider myself a respectful gentleman. In January of the new year she flew back to Vietnam for the Tet celebration. A couple of days when she return back to the States, she stopped by my place to surprise me with her being back from Vietnam and also to give me gifts she bought for me. Almost verbatim my first Asian GF mentioned above, she initiated and was very proud & happy that we had sex. It was the first of many. Her only rule was that her friends & family could never know that we were sexually active. So no PDAs. We dated 4 years. In that time I met every aunt, uncle, cousin, mom, dad, sister and brother-in-law. In a 5 year period I had 2 serious relationships with 2 Asian girls that were raised to wait until marriage before having sex. I fully adored & respected both of them along with their wishes. Both initiated an active sexual relationship. My conclusions with both: We are all taught a belief system based on religion & culture & influences in our communities. Some of us are stronger at maintaining our religious views and will to maintain what we believe is right in our eyes, the eyes of our parents and the community, than others are. No Judgements. We are all simply humans.

Elean, if sex before marriage was a sin then our gods would have punished our current “Adam and Eve”. But nopppeeee ADAM And STEVE are still okay and living the gay life. So if that’s not a punishable sin then sex before marriage isn’t neither.

Its a real bad idea to have sex before marriage. To me, I think if that ever happens, the couple and family may crumble appart

NO. Simply because in Hebrews 13:4 it says,
“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”

Yeah I tell you the truth all of the things that everyone is saying is true when it comes to having sex before marriage it’s not good and it’s a reason for that some women say that that’s what they were taught and that’s what they grew up believing because truly the people who taught them that it was wrong knew exactly what the Bible and scripture says in the Bible so therefore they knew how important it was to read the Bible and not only read the Bible but believe in what it says because truly they know the almighty God has set his standards and basic principles and that book to show us how to live as a human being created by him and if we don’t take instructions from those words that comes from God’s own mouth then we will always fall in a dark space or things may happen in our life that causes demise to our lives so we must remain as Christians who believe the one who created it for us because if you say you truly are a Christian then you will know that the reason why you are is because of the Bible you got your belief from so therefore you must follow all of the laws and commandments and what he says in Scripture that what makes you a Christian saying the word don’t make you a Christian living by his word makes you a Christian but nevertheless my brother anull said go to proverbs chapter 5 5 through 20 but I will go a little further and say read Proverbs chapter 5 verse 4 through 23 and it will tell you exactly what he says about adulterous people and about sustaining yourself from anyone that may invoke you to have sex or provoke you to try to have sex so it’s more scriptures in the Bible that relates to this topic but I hope that this has been a real ear opener for anyone who truly looking to find someone special but as a Christian you live and work off of faith we all on here because we’re looking for someone with a foundation of the same similarities but if you have faith and truly what God has said for us to do then you won’t have to look that far because he will send you that person in his time not our time but his time and remember his time is always perfect all praise to our Lord thy God Jesus Christ forevermore your brother in truth and faith and in love
